It takes 7 years of practice and dedication to master the art of hand-blown crystal. Each Joshua Steinberg Crystal Decanter is carefully hand-crafted from the beginning. Joshua Steinberg’s Master Gaffer blows each bowl by mouth to create a stunningly perfect shape.
The full process takes 100 minutes per decanter. During which the crystal is exposed to temperatures varying from 1004oF in the middle of the kiln, to a minimum of 140oF at the exit point. Exposing the crystal to these varying temperatures enhances its durability. Heat-fired to the perfect sparkle, the hand-blown Crystal Decanter is one solid piece blown to perfection.
